Michael Mayes Featured in Marijuana Business Daily

Michael Mayes, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum 9, was recently quoted by the Marijuana Business Daily publication. The feature entitled Sky-High Local Fees the Future for MMJ Businesses? discusses the complexities and high costs involved with running a cannabis business in the newly regulated medical markets.

When asked about his opinion on the local fees applied to medical marijuana businesses this is what Michael had to say. “I don’t necessarily think it’s the local municipalities taking advantage of the situation, it’s just that they’re preparing for the worst-case scenario, because (marijuana is) a Schedule I federal narcotic, people are taking precautions that you may never have taken previously.”
