Position Overview

The Agent-in-Charge – General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of dispensary operations, including compliance, inventory, team leadership, customer experience, and financial performance. This role ensures adherence to Illinois cannabis regulations while driving business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

βœ” Leadership & Staff Management

  • Oversee and manage daily dispensary operations and team performance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop dispensary staff to ensure exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a positive work culture and strong team morale.

βœ” Regulatory Compliance

  • Act as the Agent-in-Charge (AIC) and ensure full compliance with Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (CRTA) and IDFPR regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and adherence to all state-mandated policies.
  • Implement security protocols, safety procedures, and compliance training for staff.

βœ” Inventory & Sales Operations

  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor stock levels, prevent diversion, and optimize product selection.
  • Track key sales metrics and implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability.

βœ” Customer Experience & Retail Excellence

  • Ensure top-tier customer service and a welcoming dispensary environment.
  • Educate customers on cannabis products and promote responsible consumption.
  • Develop in-store promotions and marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales.

βœ” Financial Oversight

  • Manage dispensary budget, financial reporting, and daily cash handling procedures.
  • Develop and implement operational efficiencies to improve profitability.
    Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize business performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

πŸ“Œ Minimum 3+ years of experience in retail management, preferably in the cannabis, luxury retail, or highly regulated industries.
