Dispensary General Manager Job (Maryland)

Salary Range: $60,000- $90,000 Based on Industry Management Experience

Job Purpose: Supervise the daily operations of dual license Medical & Adult Use Cannabis Dispensary including but not limited to; laws, staff management, ordering, paperwork, sales, cash handling processes, inventory management, customer service, regulatory compliance, patient/patron communication, patient/patron education, and patient/patron information management.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Coordinate with marketing team to increase sales and patient volumes, run reports, and respond to social media and email requests. Set or approve daily sales.
- Provide updates of patient volume, new patients, repeat patients, weekly sales volume, and percent sales volume of new vs. repeat patients, etc. as requested by Director
- Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities per company policy; ensure cash is accurate. Solve all cash shortfalls.
- Ensure scheduling needs are satisfied; maintain schedule when team members need shifts covered by being their main point of
- Help team educate patients/patrons on cannabis properties and selection of proper genetics per the patient’s desired effect.
- Help team educate customers on proper dosage and selection of edibles per the customer’s desired effect.

- Process and handle all vendor payments and ensure vendor payment procedures are followed.
- Place orders for the procurement of saleable MMC and/or RMS
- Oversee daily inventory management via perpetual inventory system (Flowhub POS) and ensure inventory is accurate.
- Maintain a culture of high quality customer service, patient communication, and troubleshooting customer service issues/complaints.
- Assist accountants with periodic sales and inventory
- Assist State and Local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
- Assure daily compliance with MCA policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

- Attend and participate at weekly director meetings, in ongoing education and professional development, and monthly team
- Contribute to team environment and company advancement per strategic direction set by management.
- Daily correspondence via email, manager’s log, and to Director, Compliance Manager, and retail staff as needed.
- Posted schedule is expected at the store locations, but participation outside of that schedule (e.g. meetings, deliveries, emergencies) may be required.
- Physical duties may be required including but not limited to; lifting and moving boxes, inventory, and/or equipment.

Supervisory Duties:
Supervise all dispensary operations, and procedures per hours of operation. Hold employees accountable for adhering to processes, procedures, and roles. Oversee opening/closing procedures on a daily basis. Make sure team members are on track and doing their job.
Job Qualifications:
Must be able to qualify to receive a Maryland Cannabis administration agent badge and 21 years of age or older. No felony convictions and must successfully pass an extensive background check. Must have reliable transportation.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of medical and/or retail marijuana. Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical and/or retail marijuana.
Skill: Reporting and information management, Microsoft Office, process management, team problem solving, inventory control, and medical and/or retail marijuana policy and law
Ability: Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills, anticipatory thinking, calculating, multi-tasking, attention to details, conflict resolution, teamwork, and professionalism, accountability, and proactive active behavior. Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous Industry Management experience required.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of dispensary General
Management experience.
Working Environment: Indoor retail store.
Physical Activities: Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of center. Can include: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, carrying boxes, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
